A great R&B bass player, Dave is probably heartily sick of being referred to as the ex-Eric Clapton sideman. For clearly Mr. Markee has moved on and, as those who were blessed by his worship leading at Spring Harvest will know, Dave has been given a powerful praise and worship ministry. This, the second volume of Markee compositions, some composed with another Folly's End Christian Fellowship worship leader, Chris Roe, offer some of the best new choruses recently offered to the Church. The low budget recording suffers from a few substandard vocals but with Henry Spinetti's rock solid drumming and a taste or two of Bryn Haworth's guitar there's a rock'n'roll zest and drive about the praise choruses which is invigorating while the worshipful "Jesus, I Hear You" has a quite beautiful lead vocal from Helen Guard. Well worth sending off for.
