Someone has to sit down with Mr Fellingham, or the Kingsway publicity department, or whoever is responsible for the back-of-sleeve spiel and lovingly but firmly tell them that what is a quite Godly exhortation within the confines of a celebration, comes on like the worst kind of sloganeering God-speak when committed to print. "'Awaken the Nations' is a trumpet call to the church" reads the back of the sleeve. Such observations are best left to the listener to discern (with the Spirit's help, of course) rather than opening your CD to accusations of house-church hype. But I digress. How is the music? I'm delighted to report that this is probably the best album yet from the gifted and anointed worship leader of the New Frontiers church grouping (musn't say denominatiron). Several of the new songs, inspired by David's first hand experience of a nation undergoing revival when he visited Korea, are amongst his best. I was particularly blessed by the stirring "New Covenat People" and the worshipful "I Bow Down". This album, in the Worship Leaders series, also features one or two of Dave's old classics like "We Are Your People (Build Your Church)". Although the vocal ensemble is not quite up to Maranatha standards, it has a pleasing harmony blend, with pop soul man David Grant turning up to sing lead on "Eternal Covenant".

Jesus is Gods son but who is the Holy Spirit? In this charismatic revival many new hymns have been written. According to the words of the anglican confirmation service, that is when one recieves the Holy Spirit. [at confirmation] Do you think later we will return to the order of the established church and these new hymns will remain?
