A pretty obscure country act from Winchester, USA, though amazingly he came to the UK recently and was interviewed on UCB Europe's Country Music Box. This privately produced cassette begins with the title track which I assume like all the other new songs is self-penned. A rather lacklustre version of "Blessed Assurance" followed by a new song, "Jesus Is The Glue", followed by "Life's Railway To Heaven" which suffers by comparison to many other versions of this country gospel standard. A new song, "Running On My Knees" follows. Afterwards David asks "Where Else Can I Go" before he really falls down with "Ask Jesus Into Your Heart". Amazingly this is followed by the best track on the album, a simple plaintive version of the classic "Turn Your Radio On", with just simple guitar. Two new songs round off, "Jesus Is The Only Way To Fly" and "Holy Spirit". I must admit it was not an album that made a tremendous impact on me. Musically it falls into more easy listening than mainstream country. The backing sounds more than a little spartan which means David's voice sounds a bit strained at times.
