Demon Hunter are not an easy band to classify musically. I would say that the style is heavy nu-metal with a slight hardcore feel at times, and a small hint of thrash here and there. The first thing I picked up on was the heavy sound created by the guitars, which, for me is always a plus point. The vocals, for the most part, are growled pretty brutally and occasionally remind me of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor. Clean vocals also play a role, working particularly well on some of the tracks. However, there are two songs which are made entirely of clean vocals, and while they are not what I’d call poor, they seem to detract from the brutality and it’s at these moments where the album seems to lose its way. The album could do with more songs like “Through The Black” which is by far the most aggressive song on the album. Having said that, this is still a pretty solid release and the band will no doubt continue to develop musically. I prefer extreme metal myself, but this is still an impressive record and I can definitely recommend it to fans of nu-metal.

Not only do these guys rock, but there stepping on toes, which is one of the best things about them. How? You say, well they have invaded the "New Metal style", as you would call it, and they're Christian's. JESUS ROCKS
