This is a four-track CD from this Irish six-piece band and is their first offering. I had a hard job to classify it, but roots/acoustic steals it narrowly from rock! The CD comprises one studio track and three tracks recorded live at The Lighthouse, Magherafelt. The studio track is the title track "Overflowing Fountain" and I like it a great deal. The band are obviously very competent musicians with some very good keyboards and bass. There is a snatch of tin whistle that is very reminiscent of Eden Burning. Of the live tracks I like "A Passion For Jesus" the most, though "Set Us Free" stands out with some excellent piano playing among the good things on offer. All the songs are overtly Christ-centred which is good to see. The biographical material says that what the band wanted to produce was "a CD that young people could afford and have change for a McDonalds." With the bargain price this is a fine first offering, well worth checking out.
