Buffs will remember that previously Eric has dabbled with blue-eyed soul and techno. Well, he's on the musical move again. Maybe encouraged by DC Talk, Eric has taken a quantum leap into grunge-tinged rock! And it comes off. My favourite track is "Life-form" which is a simple prayer that acknowledges a deep desire of the need to become like Jesus. Unfortunately, the chorus lets the song down by singing about "you" instead of Jesus. This whole style which I call the female sheep syndrome, upsets me because if Eric's deep desire is to be more like Jesus then why can't he say that rather than going on about 'Ewe'? Other tracks that deserve a mention are "Droppin' Nova", "Falling" and the title track "Transformation". It is also worth mentioning that the theme of transformation makes quite a few appearances on the album; so the question is, is Transformation' a concept album?

I like "life form" because it represents the struggle to become more like Christ as the above article suggests. I like the remix by Essential. The word "you" - It would be great to give the proper credit to God or specifically one of the trinities. However, the "you" can also be obvious that we are speaking about a higher being and it is inferred.
