This particular Firefly is not one of the 10 million which once made Owl City wax lyrical, neither is it the gone-but-not-forgotten Midlands hard rock band. This Firefly is worship leader Debbie Gillingham, a 26 year old Londoner who admits that she "wandered through the wilderness watching her husband deteriorate in his battle with MS." The songs on this five-track EP resonate with passion and compassion with "Redeemed" and "In The Storm" being particular standouts. Although there is the occasional use of cliché in the lyrics ("By your blood I am set free/From the chains that hold me") there is a sincerity about the songs, simply yet skilfully arranged, which will keep you returning to them.
