Got to say that even in the middle of reviewing a stack of albums, this CD stayed in my player for about three days, so knocked out was I by the passion and vibe of Forty Save One! They're aggressive modern rock with plenty to say, catchy tunes, relentless guitars and loads to enjoy. My personal faves include "Rugburn" which has a wonderful George Thoroughgood style destructive guitar solo midway and plenty of singalong ahh ahh backing vocals along the way. Just great fun. They can also be jangly ("Clinger"), fast paced, relentless rock ("February", "Junior") and gentle ("Mudpuddle"). Whichever way you look at this, it's solid modern rock and if you like stuff like Plankeye, you've got to check it out!
