Here we have it, reppin’ for the UK, GreenJade with this EP that is a single taken from their debut album called ‘Chronicles: The Story So Far’. It has three mixes on the CD with a bonus track entitled “Check 1-2”. The mix that I believe will send shock waves through the hip-hop world is El Nino’s Breakthru Remix, it’s got this infectious horn and stab sample that sounds so familiar and will surely get dancefloors packed. Familiar, I say, coz it’s taken from a sample from “Ground Breaker” by Fallacy & Fusion. All together it’s a good attempt at meeting the wants and desires of the buying public with the various styles of mixes of the same track and even a dance remix by Steve E. This rendition is a glimpse of what Green Jade will be dropping in 2004. Keep ya eyes open for this London collective taking tru skool hip-hop to its rightful place within the mainstream music industry.
