Usually when rock orientated bands record stripped down versions of previously recorded songs the listener is left missing the drive and energy of the originals. But this definitely not the case with this delightful CD/DVD package. Cross Rhythms has already gone on record to praise the original 'Zion' album with its memorable songs like "Scandal Of Grace", "Relentless" and the Coldplay-influenced "Love Is War", but in this setting - an intimate Sydney café with the players and singers randomly scattered around - the songs take on a new, simple beauty. The piece de resistance has to be the dazzling version of "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" where singer Taya Smith brings out the full poignancy of the Brooke Taylor song. An unforgettable worship moment.
