Holland Davis is the Pastor of Devotional Arts and worship leader at Ocean Hills Church, San Juan Capistrano in California. He has been around for a goodly number of years and this is his latest offering, a 10-track, 45-minute collection of new self-penned worship songs. Holland's voice is suited perfectly to the guitar-led rock-with-a-hint-of-country nature of his material and here it glides effortlessly over an impressive range. His lyrics state accepted Christian truths but manage to stay well clear of any suggestion of triteness or hint of tiredness, while his melodies are hooky and easy on the ear. The tracks are cleverly and interestingly arranged and the sound is appropriately big without being cluttered. The result is an album of easily accessible mainly up-tempo praise and worship songs that seeks not to challenge the listener but rather to draw them in and encourage them to join in the singing. There is not a significantly weak song in the collection, and the highlights are the title track and "Worthy Is The Lamb".
