In 2003 two soulful British singer/songwriters, Delroy Hutchinson and Godfrey Gayle, were awarded the Best Gospel Newcomer award at the MOBOs. Part of their prize was a recording contract with Integrity. Yet nothing was ever released until now! At least it's been worth the wait as Hutchinson and Gayle possess two of the best voices in the UK gospel scene. The vocals here are warm and earthy, wrapping themselves easily around mid-tempo tracks such as the opening "Life Giver" and "Reborn" as well as worshipful ballads including the title track "Just Like You". Endorsement from gospel radio stations is to be expected with good quality British offerings such as this. However, the interlude interview from BBC West Midlands presenter Nikki Tapper is a little self-indulgent, even if the artists are focused on thanking the musicians who worked on the album and in particular Brian Allen, who penned most of the tracks into the bargain. Overall, this is a solid first recording and here's hoping we're not left waiting another seven years for a follow-up.

Delroy Hutchinson and Godfrey Gayle come from the town of Smethwick, near Birmingham.
The duo sang together for a number of years before pursuing their own individual projects. In order to compete in GMTV’s Gospel Challenge 2003 they decided to come together and perform once again.
Soul-filled and meaningful lyrics are their trademark, which were evident in their heatwinning performance in Birmingham.
As well as taking home the prestigious MOBO award, they also won a recording contract with Integrity, the fruit of which is this album, Just Like You.
