This is a split EP to show off the respective talents of these two hardcore bands. All of the songs by In This Victory (ITV!) are straight ahead hardcore, but they are all in the same key, which really makes them sound monotonous; a shame as their lyrics are full of conviction. Similarly The Frontline's lyrics are passionate (what do you expect from Rescue Records stables?), but they are playing more inventive hardcore, with a very good and melodic bass player who adds another dimension to their music. The production for ITV is better, which is a shame for The Frontline, but still the latter shines through for me on this EP and lifts it. Wait and see the future for these bands.
