Just when you thought it was safe to go into your local Christian bookstore out comes not just one of Ishmael's albums, but two in the same package. This is a kind of retrospective on the man himself, covering two of his early releases, pre-beard! As with all of Ish's stuff this is fun playing with little ones to the fore. He certainly livens up a dour church atmosphere. On these two he addresses a great deal of the current standards "Be Bold, Be Strong", "You Laid Aside Your Majesty", "There Is A Redeemer" and many more. Yes, in some terms he does 'murder' them to the purists, but you have to remember what he's actually trying to achieve, it's all in his style. The "Little Troopers" songs are all about being a 'Glorie' and are Ish's own simplistic songs for young ones. Sunday School material for littlies!
