Quietly, out of the glare of the Nashville publicity machine, Jamie has turned in some exceptional melodic pop music. His last album, 'God Of Second Chances', was great, and so is this. Jamie's forte is the memorable radio friendly hook and whether he's reminding us that God can use someone like you (the title track), God's love being always with us ("Love Unconditional"), or the need to come back to faith ("This Familiar Place") the effect is engaging. Production too is excellent with plenty of Nashville's finest (Jerry McPherson, Lisa Bevill, Blair Masters) offering their talents while the duet with R&B diva Shadonna works well too. If you enjoy Steven Curtis Chapman you should investigate Jamie.
