Having only recently been released by Alliance, Volume Four" is the first album by the band since their classic '94 set 'Prophet'. Jerusalem appear to have taken some vintage material written between 74 and '84, gone back into the studio in '97 and come up with this fine collection of blues-tinged hard rock. Faultlessly executed by Ulf Christiansson (guitars/vocals), Klas Anderhell (drums), Anders Mossberg (bass) and Dan Tibell (keys/organ), Volume Four' stands as an indispensable introduction to one of the finest exponents of the AOR/art' rock genre. Words fail to describe just how good this set of compositions is. Works of note include the mammoth "RAD", a seven-minute epic that displays some fine passages and a blistering guitar solo by Christiansson; as well as other monumental epics "Surrender" and "Power And Glory", all exquisitely arranged, produced and performed. Another classic album from Jerusalem, Volume Four1 should appeal to anyone interested in such musical genres as AOR, progressive and "art" rock.

I was a long term fan of Jerusalem, and now live in China, but never heard this album until now that i've just heard the samples, and am so freshly impressed that i feel i must get hold of the whole album as soon as possible! - Yehah, thanks ed and co, and GOD too! :)
