For the last decade and a half, John has been writing and performing songs which communicate his love of Christ and which reach out to others in need. He sports a fairly conventional rock/pop sound, but John's distinctive voice gives each song an extra dimension which sets the album apart from many others in the same genre. "New Beginnings" expresses something of Gaughan's journey and the other songs are full of praise and worship - the opening track, "You're Beautiful", is a particularly good example.
