This is the UK's JG, he who gave us "Jesus, We Celebrate Your Victory" - one of the top P&W numbers in recent years. That's here, plus another nine solid performances which will mark this as one of the outstanding praise releases this year. The album opens with a superb title track and another of John's standards in "You're Worthy". These are congregational praise songs which have become the UK's forte during recent times. A combination of lively, uptempo stuff tinged with that Spring Harvest kind of feel at its most vibrant. "Jesus, We Cry Jesus" and "Jubilee" further emphasise the almost partylike atmosphere of this very creditable album. And there's still room for a lovely, gentle sound of "Perfect Love Of God". The only blips are that "Perfect Love..." goes on far too long with limited lyrics (don't they all, I hear you cry) and why the spoken vocals on one of the tracks? Songs should learn to stand on their own merits, and on here they do, so please cut out the unnecessaries, guys!
