'The Burning Wood' is the sixth solo studio album from Irish singer/songwriter Johnny, whose career in music started as the frontman of Granny's Intentions as a 15 year old. The album comes after Johnny had been inspired by the messages he had received over the years expressing how his work had helped people through times of crises through the spiritual content or had marked occasions of celebration. With this in mind the songs on 'The Burning Wood' are a result of Johnny exploring below the surface of his own faith. The result is a stunning composition of work that is beautifully arranged. One of many standout tracks "Wonders" tells of the many miracles and acts of Jesus and explaining how they are wonders of his love and this message is aided by a haunting arrangement using a cello to underpin the track along with some sublime harmonies.
