Bringing together three of America’s best singers in Southern gospel and country has resulted in a thoroughly pleasant, liltingly tuneful album. Each of the sisters here – Joyce Martin of The Martins, Karen Peck of Karen Peck & New River and Sheri Easter of Jeff & Sheri Easter – posses quality chops and when the songs take in bluesy stuff like “Chains Gone, Set Free” the Appalachian-tinged harmonies are great. Occasionally the producer ladles on a bit too much saccharine sweetening (like on the inspirational ballad “You Give”) but overall this is country gospel of some appeal.
