This is the second release by a Wisconsin-based singer/songwriter, following 'Coming Home', reviewed back in 2001 in CR65. I REALLY like this album!  Kate's voice has a rich smooth quality and a distinct originality.  Each of these songs are performed simply, with just an acoustic guitar backing.  This creates a very intimate atmosphere and each song exudes the peace and joy which Kate obviously has in God.  Each of the 13 songs featured here are all very easy to sing along to and very infectious.  I could easily sing these in Church!  From the opening track of "Magnify" to the atmospheric "Milky Way" there is not one song on here that I do not like!  Kate's style reminds me of the folk singers of the early '70s whilst remaining uniquely hers. The passion and simplicity of this recording also reminds me of the late great Keith Green. All in all, a refreshingly original project which I for one shall have on repeat in my CD player for a long while.
