The sound of black gospel choirs is now a music which has conquered the globe with choirs cropping up in places as culturally unlikely as Norway and Japan. Kevin Adams & The Voices Of Praise hail from Toronto, Canada and have been around for a while now, releasing their first "Caribbean demo album" (whatever that is) in 2016. They clearly had high hopes for this song, releasing it as a single. "You Are Awesome" features mighty lunged sistah Melisa on some interjections as well as Kevin singing and shouting praises to God while the accompanying band are tight and funky. In fact, there's also an instrumental single released. The big problem is the production/arrangement - it's all a bit of an over busy mess while the song itself simply isn't memorable. All in all, a major disappointment.
