Los Angeles-based Kevin Jenkins is, no doubt, a fine Christian and an adroit businessman (though calling your record company the wince-inducing Sensational Entertainment Records might call the latter into question) though that doesn't necessarily mean he makes good CDs. In fact, this isn't a good one. Kevin has a rich, soulful baritone which can swoop and rasp and emote with the best of them but the production is weak, his voice is too forward in the mix often drowning out the perfunctory programming that passes for backing tracks while the material, like the Caribbean-tinged opener "Revive Us Again" or the slow, holler-down-the-church "I Surrender My Life Lord" is unmemorable.
