Kristi Moore is only 20 and is singing with depths of emotion that are rare in easy listening music. Kristi became known in the US for the patriotic single “American Tears” to encourage support for the soldiers in Iraq. ‘Journey Through Love’ is her first full length album with many of the songs written by local songwriters, eg, “I Really Wasn’t Me (Until There Was You)” written by a man who is quadraplegic and who needed to see God’s leading. This remains my favourite song on the album and reminds me a little of “Just Around The River Bend” from Disney’s Pocahontas. This album is a love album rather than a “Christian” album, although Kristi herself is a devout Christian. As with all good love albums the songs can be taken as a reflection of our relationship with God. Kristi has a lot going for her as a clean-cut young lady with a fantastic voice that is very easy on the ears!
