From her album cover to opening note and to her closing word Norwegian songstress Kristen Solheim's full length first is uplifting and carefree, offering songs of encouragement and devotion in an easy listening package. Scriptural references for every song are displayed alongside lyrics in the colourful inlay along with arty snaps of food making the Scandinavian diet look very nutritious indeed. Staying on matters of wellbeing. . . a healthy helping of instrumental breaks throughout maintains interest with the saxophone coming to the fore in "Beautiful To Me", a reminder of the protection, faithfulness and blessings that come with being children of a Heavenly Father who provides every need, "See the birds of the air, they don't sow, don't harvest, yet I feed them." Kristin's dulcet tones do seem best suited to the slow tranquil jazz pieces such as "My Church" and the brilliant "It Never Fails" in which one of those nice extended saxophone moments is there to enjoy. Such music makes coffee taste so much better.
