You may have seen this lady supporting Note For A Child recently. She's more proof that good ol' UK's Christian music underground is creatively thriving. Lisa has an arresting voice, a delightful mix of strident confidence and nuanced vulnerability while the 12 self-written songs here are strong in melody and lyrics which reflect a passionate love affair with Jesus of Nazareth. Production is gritty with plenty of grinding rock guitars interspersed with acoustic moments and some effective sax and violin interjections. In an age of production line pop, there is much on 'Don't Wanna Waste Any Time' (which incidentally was inspired by 2 Corinthians 4: 18) which is honest, passionate and fresh. Investigate Lisa. She's a bright new talent indeed.
