This is being marketed by Nelson Word as a Christmas album, which is seriously stretching it. Just as untenable is the inference by its record label and its distribution that it has anything to do with "Christian music". But as a Tchaikovsky's Greatest Hits' played crisply by a renowned orchestra (in 1992?) this is a fine album in the culture for the masses mode of modern classical salesmanship. All the "hits" are here: "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy", "Waltz Of The Flowers", etc and as an intro to a great composer, it's a delight.
