This just has to be one of the more remarkable releases of recent times. A real country music veteran who feels that in her 80th year she has to release an album of her personal Christian faith! To begin with is the fact that despite her advanced years, her voice is in fact still good but obviously not as strong as I can remember when she duetted with George Jones all those years ago. The sleeve notes are interesting, outlining her life story in the country music business with its ups and downs. Here we have 12 tracks, 10 of them written by Margie, including the catchy title track opener. One exception is "Making Payments" written and sung by the late Leon Ashley, the man she was married to from 1965 to his sad passing in 2013, and who was instrumental in her carrying on in country music after going through a very messy divorce. A standout is "On My Father's Side", a fine song by Belinda Felicia Shiflet. Throughout this most listenable album such tracks as "I Heard Him Knocking" and the closing track "Heaven Bound" exude a simple but profound faith in Almighty God. The backing is simple modern country, which having played it through several times, highlights the quality of the writing. Putting it simply, I cannot remember any other country artist wanting to release a sacred album almost towards the end of a career as a testament to their profound faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Very memorable.
