Quite simply the most beautiful worship album I've heard to date. As a Messianic Jew, Marty Goetz (pronounced Gets) brings a soulful, emotional Hebrew flavour to his songwriting and performance. The songs themselves are Scripture-based, atmospheric and totally superb. Stylistically, Goetz flits between Michael Card and Keith Green territory, blending the former's sensitivity and mellow finesse with the latter's fire and passion. The CD being produced by Tom Howard who also supplies supplementary keyboard skills is a guarantee of top quality expertise. Add in the skills of the Nashville String Machine, Carol McClure (harp), Craig Duncan (hammer dulcimer) and a bunch of superb backing vocalists, and you're getting the idea. A wonderfully refreshing album, musically impeccable and profoundly moving.
