This is a fine album! The debut release from a new Nashville talent oozes with confident vocals, which, on first hearing, sounded somewhat familiar and I couldn't pinpoint whether or not I had heard him before. Ironically, when conducting a web search for more information on Cook, I read several reviews which described his fine vocals as bland and generic. Leaving that aside, there are traces of Rich Mullins and MercyMe's Bart Millard in his stylings plus a pinch of Jeremy Camp! And I will say it again - this is a fine album! 'Imprint' is one of the first releases on the new A'postrophe record label. Recently returned from the London venue of Latin songstress Jaci Velasquez' month long Unspoken Tour, Cook impressed the audiences so much that Velasquez signed him up as her first artist! Together they have produced a corker of an album and it just shows what potential Cook has. The album has several outstanding tracks including "Old Man In New York", "Learning How To Love Him Every Day" and "God Bless The World". No matter what those questionable critics say, Michael Cook has a bright future.
