Moira is of course a doyen of the Scottish showbiz world whose trained-voiced renditions of folk ballads and showtunes have warmed the hearts of audiences for decades. Here she turns her attention to hymns, some ancient ("Abide With Me" and "Rock Of Ages") spiced up with one or two more modern worship songs. Production by Gordon Lorenz is lavishly lush and there are no drums in earshot, and if your tastes veer towards sweetly sung hymns arranged with MOR sensibilities this might be for you though it's pedestrian predictability is awesome.
