Some years back London worship leader Nick Herbert had a track from his independent album 'Creator' much featured on Cross Rhythms radio. Now he's the worship leader at St Mary's church in Marylebone Street, London, a fellowship attracting a lot of attention and even being featured in Elle magazine. I'm pleased to report that Nick has lost none of his ability to deliver a memorable song hook and both the opener "This Side Of Heaven" with its nagging guitar riff and the wistfully melodic "Rain" written with St Mary's church leader John Peters are top quality. Recorded live over five Sunday services in January and February by the ever reliable Paul Burton, this eight-song mini-album is yet one more example of the worship revolution continuing in Britain's churches.
