Nu Souls hail from Durham, North Carolina. They are Raymone "T-Bear" Garnes, Dottie Sterling and Al Burton. All members of the group have performed with other groups in the US gospel and/or secular music scene. Raymone plays bass guitar, keyboard bass, sings lead and writes lyrics. Al plays drums and percussion. Dottie plays piano, percussion, writes lyrics and is the lead vocalist on the majority of the songs on this album. Good, solid album of 12 songs, including the spoken/acted out "Just Believe" with its miracle ending to a gun crime shooting. Whilst this can't be described as a classic, there is a quality to the R&B groove on a number of tracks, including "What You Want To Do" and "L.O.V.E". The smooth vocals from Dottie on the slower "I Can't Forget" are also a highlight.
