Operation Faith is a worship project initiated by a group of accomplished veterans of the US secular music scene. At the forefront is producer/composer David Crawford, a flautist/orchestrator/conductor who has arranged music for the likes of Patti Labelle, the Womacks and Mary J Blige and has performed live with Stevie Wonder and a number of symphony orchestras. Vocalist Vann Johnson has a similarly impressive CV, having worked with Elton John, Michael Bolton and Peabo Bryson. Also involved in the project is Harold T Johnson Sr, a pastor and musician who has written/arranged for movie soundtracks such as 'Dead Man Walking'. This promo single "Journey To Salvation" is a slow-tempo pop track with a modest R&B flavour, something the aforementioned Bolton or Bryson might be drawn to recording. Lyrically it speaks of the trials and tribulations on the way to salvation and would appeal as a gentle aid to contemplative worship.
