Oracle are Del and Carol Bearfoot, a husband and wife team with a flair for producing scripturally based songs which cover familiar themes. This is aided by them providing the biblical references after the title of each song, which helps explain the message they wish to convey. The choice of words in some of the songs feels mismatched against the music underneath and more careful choice of lyrics would greatly improve the flow of the songs. The backing of the songs sounds weak and I sense they were working on a tight budget, which is further illustrated by the 'photoed at Debenhams' front cover picture. Susan Campbell sings on "My Hero", a song which highlights the potential on this record but that is compromised by the demo tape feel of this CD. Given sufficient budget and good backing the songs presented here could be worthy of more praise.
