Here is a contemporary gospel album with a pop flavour rather than pursuing the current fad for blurring the edges between gospel and R&B. The result is an album which highlights Osmond's excellent voice and songwriting skills but is occasionally patchy from a production perspective. Songs like "Praise Him" which have some live instruments work best rather than relying soley on the programming which makes up most of the album and although effective prevents this from being an extraordinary album. Influenced by Lionel Richie, there is plenty of melody here so songs like the uplifting "Higher Than All The Earth" and the title track are gospel worship of a high order. But then "All Hail Jesus" with its horrible out of tune kids choir badly lets the side down. A rich voice, some great songs and steady production combine to make an uplifting pop gospel album.
