An excellent album which has emerged from a church setting. 'Praise Come First' contains a selection of interesting and varied material. A number of different styles including reggae, African as well as the usual contemporary gospel are embraced through high quality writing including contributions from Mark Beswick, Graham Kendrick as well as Pastor David Daniels. Strong instrumental backing is supported by high quality vocals. The album includes a wonderful reworking of "How Great Thou Art". The excitement of the church environment is perfectly captured in this live recording, so you can "have church" while doing the house work. This is a fabulous offering from the stable of black British gospel. Certainly one of the best albums that I've heard this year.
