Reviewed by Alastair McCollum Pastor DeWayne states that his desire is "to serve and uplift in the Lord's word as the musical director for the Praise and worship Team" and in this live worship selection he is certainly seeking to bring that mission to disc! 'The Report Of The Lord' is uplifting, passionate, fantastically arranged and filled with the praise of Almighty God. Recorded at the Greater Blessings Tabernacle Of Praise in Tallahassee, Florida this is a refreshing, full-on gospel service where Harvey shares the leading duties with diva Angela Spivey, described here as "The Princess of Gospel", and they both enter fully into the worship of God on this dynamic, high octane collection. This is gospel worship as most of us would expect gospel to be - stabbing horns, soul filled keyboards, a full choir and accomplished music group with a smattering of "words" shared by Pastor DeWayne. With a such an album as this it's hard to pick out one or two of the best as the concert is best taken as a whole and the accompanying DVD allows you to do that whilst watching it in all its heartfelt glory! There are, though, one or two tracks that strike home the message of passionate devotion to the Lord's service - "Whose Report" and "Let's Go Back", the first with the shared leading of DeWayne and Angela, the second an understated choir piece that says, simply, let us go back to the old ways.
