WOW! A "Best Of" for a ccm artist; not too many were known by then in this genre of music. I recall
Chris Christian, The Hemphills, Bill Gaither Trio,
Christine Wyrtzen, and of course B.J. Thomas who has recorded Pat Terry songs. Pat Terry is a wonderful songwriter! This 12 songset begins with the well-known "Home Where I Belong": B.J. Thomas had a hit with the song in 1976. Both recordings are pleasers. "That's the Way", "I Can't Wait", and
"YOU" are other side 1 favorites. B.J.Thomas also did a nice cover of "YOU' on his "For The Best", released this same year: I love this song! The 1977 fave "Sweet Music" disappointed it didn't make album.
Side 2 starts with 1977 song "To Me For YOU; I just love the up beat album finisher "YOU Got Me", this is a great song! I recall hearing this song on radio also.
Glad to have this great collection! GOD Bless! -Don
ps. ANYONE HAVE UPDATES ON THIS GROUP, THANX!
