Phil Keaggy has to be one of Christendom's most well known and veteran guitarists, so it was with dread that I put 'Cinemascapes' into my CD Player. Thankfully, PK has put as much effort into the sounds behind his guitar as he has to his main instrument. As a result 'Cinemascapes' has a good couple of tracks where the guitars are actually seamless with the music, 'A Mothers Son' and 'Markings' spring to mind. Unfortunately no amount of technical brilliance can stop this reviewer's attention from wandering with some of these impeccably played instrumentals veering perilously close to muzak.
