Phil Keaggy - It's Personal: Phil Keaggy Sings The Poetry Of Keith Moore
STYLE: Roots/Acoustic RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 10264-9705 LABEL: Independent FORMAT: CD Album

Since Phil Keaggy parted company from the Nashville based recording companies that had released his albums until the late nineties, he has enjoyed the freedom to pursue whatever projects he's fancied recording. These have ranged from albums of instrumental acoustic beauty, pop vocal projects and the occasional venture into the blistering rock guitar for which he is rightly famous. This latest release sees him creating songs from the poetry of American Christian poet Keith Moore. These being poems and not songs mean that the delivery is more free form and adventurous than standard songs. Keaggy's voice and acoustic guitar drift from song to song in an almost avante garde fashion. The results are beautiful, creative, unusual and always interesting though I suspect it'll only find an audience within Keaggy's existing fan base.

This record is something special. I am so grateful to call
Phil a friend, and being a fan of his music from a very
early age, never dreamed I would one day write something he
might want to sing. God works in mysterious ways indeed.
Phil is the real thing folks. Believe me.
