This is a dual purpose album: if you turn the volume down you can pipe this into a lift and it will come across as quite decent muzak. If you turn the volume up then you have a decent rendition of old trusted Christmas carols and the odd secular gushy Christmas track. Carols range from the ever-beautiful "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" to a "Go Tell It On The Mountain/Amen" medley. The good production quality is enough to let you ignore most of the gushy sentimentalist nonsense such as "Sleigh Ride" and "The Kid In Me" but the rich deep sound of the album is no compensation for the inclusion of "The Chipmunk Song", complete with its sickly spoken introduction. Fortunately, the producers knew what they were doing when they made that the last track on the album. Overall though a decent enough album which is pleasant on the ear.
