A harsh critic might suggest that Midlands ministry group Rain cover too many musical bases for their own good. Certainly on this set one is left enjoying an R&B-tinged groove one minute and pop rock complete with howling guitars the next. What makes the whole thing work though are strong, God-centred songs, ranging from a tribute to missionary martyr Jim Elliot ("No Fool") through to a song based on Psalm 139 ("Lover Of My Soul"). Production way above the standards of most independent releases and an exceptional female singer make this a pretty classy release.
