This is a good first album in which the Reading band shows that they certainly have the raw material of a great unit but need to work hard before they can be a successful band. The majority of the album has some great guitar playing and lyrics but some of the songs are "flat" and lack imagination and creativity. Also, some of the songs sound like regurgitations of others on the album. But mostly the album is easy and fun to listen to, and Rendered can be proud of the end product which, despite what I have said, is a very good starting point. I will eagerly await the next album.
