Allocate 24 hours to this video, 90 minutes for viewing and the remainder for recovery. Don't know how the choir coped but I'm worn out just watching the intense level of emotional commitment, non-stop concentration and sheer electrifying physical energy which the ensemble fire out from the stage. Milt's now a hoary veteran, so mostly hovers around the fringes like Moses on the mountaintop. He takes centre stage twice, to growl one soul-soaked number then to enact the time honoured "Singing Preacher" role so beloved of BIack Gospel. The other soloists all perform death-defying feats of vocal dexterity, ling out all the soaring, swooping, yells and al trickery that the rest of us can only marvel at. The audience is almost as much fun to watch, some great dance moves going on out there. The super-tight band includes two keyboard maestros who are just a blur, and a nifty semi-metal guitarist, backed by a thumping rhythm section. A concert that showers you with sanctified sweat! Black Gospel's finest and most phenomenal.
