Ruth is based at Vinelife Church in Manchester, and with some encouragement from her pastor there, she has now committed her obvious music talent to disc. This seven song mini-album is mainly driven by Ruth's piano backed by some superb musicians including some deft cello played by Chris Sampson and guitar by Darren Ellsmore (who also produced the CD). Listening to the record I am reminded of singers such as Sarah Masen and Nichole Nordeman, in terms of vocal delivery and style. Ruth demonstrates a rare intimacy in her songs with "As You Wait For Me" a particular standout as the singer/songwriter calls out to "Daddy" to help her through. Producer Darren also adds vocals on "Sweet Embrace" which contains just the words "I will climb into your sweet embrace", repeated a number of times. It feels you are eavesdropping into someone's time alone with God. "Part II" is also similar in lyrical style. 'Your World' has the power to get you to stop and listen and you are left with the conclusion that Ruth has a lot more to offer the Church in the coming years.

This album is a breath of fresh air. It is such a genuine expression of a deep one-on-one relationship with our Father and Creator and your soul can't help but cry out to God in the same personal manner as you sing along. The perfect music to accompany any quiet time during the day, this album does a great job at blocking out the worries the world burdens us with and shining a spotlight on the Author and Perfecter of our faith, giving the feeling that only you and God exist in the whole universe. With today's society running in such a "hustle and bustle" mode, this music is truly an oasis in the middle of a desert.

This album exudes joy, peace, patience, and gentleness (Gal. 5:22), purity, and loveliness (Phil. 4:8) and would be an excellent addition to any album collection.
