This is a mischievous little rap album from the crew that goes by the name of Sackcloth Fashion. In a genre which is fast becoming generic with a seemingly endless troupe of men with mouths waiting to step up to the mic and do their stuff, finding an album that stands out from the crowd is becoming increasingly difficult. While Sackcloth Fashion have plenty to say, the endless beats and non stop verbals become wearing pretty quickly because there isn't enough to hold the interest. The humour of "Two Chords" (a song with two chords lasting 30 seconds) and "Spoon Fed Gospel" (a 60 second slam against spiritual immaturity) suggests that they don't take themselves too seriously. The creative use of samples is fun too and occasionally there is a spark that suggests this could be more than average. One such track is "Family Ties" but its only one glimmer in an album that does little to really inspire.
