Sandi Patti's amazing career has so far achieved five Grammy awards, 40 Dove awards and over 11 million album sales - not bad for someone who spent the early part of her singing path as a backing singer for Bill Gaither! This is a collection of live recordings taken from the Gaither Homecoming projects. The album demonstrates Sandi's Streisand-like tones to the full, as demonstrated on the opener "We Shall Behold Him", where the diva's high notes are jaw dropping! The recording quality is also first rate. However, to call this compilation a 'Best Of' will attract critics, for example several Grammy award winning songs are absent here such as "They Say" and "Morning Like This". Also, given the strength of the live performances and the numerous guests the TV show attracts, on the sleeve there is a curious absence of details of artists who sing alongside Patti, for example "Further Along" features several unnamed voices. The inclusion of the Disney track "A Whole New World" is also odd. That said, there are classy performances here.
