When I got hold of their live album a couple of months ago Saviour Machine became very much my band of the moment, their blend of progressive rock themes with gothic imagery gives them an individuality all too rare in CCM. So when the back catalogue arrived I was as happy as a bluebottle on a jam sandwich. Both albums were originally released in the States by Frontline, and Saviour Machine have now bought the rights to them and re-released them on their own MCM label (with different covers, for any completists who may already have the original). The first album was produced by Mr Daniel Amos himself, Terry Taylor, and it is possibly this which just gives it the edge over 'Saviour Machine ll'.
