These cassette albums step from Canada, though why anyone should bother to release these simplistic, basically arranged (Patti Valiant on vocals, her husband Jodi on acoustic guitar) Scripture songs is beyond me. I am sorry but I am just getting increasingly overwhelmed and underimpressed with the constant stream of this wishy-washy praise stuff. There is nothing to differentiate between these four tapes. If you choose to drive yourself potty by listening to nursery rhyme tunes set to basic folky guitar with a bit of synth that's your business, but don't say you haven't been told. Words are all Scripture so they didn't even have to work much at that. Even in the undemanding world of Christian bookshop consumes these sincere though musically vacuous album will surely sink without trace.
